Questions, Answered

The VIN Check is the quick, affordable screen, and it is usually enough to catch a title problem before you commit. The Full Vehicle Accident Report is the deeper one, adding liens, ownership history and service records. On a high-value purchase, take both.
On the vehicle, look at the base of the windshield on the driver's side, and on the sticker inside the driver's door jamb. On paper, the VIN appears on your registration, your title and your insurance card. A VIN is 17 characters long.
If your car was manufactured in the US after 1980 it will have a 17 digit VIN that has a searchable history. Older vehicles, and some imports, used shorter VIN formats that the national databases do not cover in the same way.
The VIN Check reads government sources: NMVTIS, NHTSA and USDOT. The Full Vehicle Accident Report adds millions of private records from insurers, repair shops and other industry sources. Taking both cross-verifies one against the other.
No. We are a private, third-party service and are not affiliated with any government agency. We read the same national records you would, and present them in one place.
The VIN Check, the Full Vehicle Accident Report and the two-report bundle are each priced separately, with the bundle costing less than buying both on their own. Start here for current pricing, or call us.

A clean exterior tells you nothing about a branded title. Run the VIN first, and find out while it is still a decision rather than a problem.
